Bloody hell, not "young" Alex, what awful news!  Nice Eulogy Billy, Alex was always a voice of reason and moderation in what could sometimes become a bit of a pit bull sea of bitterness, but this thread shows how many decent, considerate and funny buggers are still on here.

I suspect it's more  corruption than incompetence, though Sully is clearly that too.  Buy mediocre players for madly inflated  prices but only using your mate agents, they mostly turn out to be useless so we sell a year later for half prices or less, agents split their massive profit with Sully and ...

Spot on Alf, we've had multiple managers and spent a fortune on players but apart from that fantastic night in Prague we've had very little to show for our loyalty to the club.  The problem is I don't really want a bunch of yanks or corrupt foreigners owning us either!
