US Politics Thread
Seems like the main politics thread is becoming a Yankee-Doodle Trump-fest, so maybe scope here to split them out.
Will see if this one gains any traction ..if it does will move over a few of the million posts from our two protagonists from the other thread.
Yee-haaa!

Qatar and Iran were close, I was working in Qatar in 2027 when the Saudis and the rest of the UAE placed and embargo on them and much of the food came from Iran

You’re as dumb as a rock joyo.
The whole world knows it, and yet every country aside from Israel refused to join in.
No word on the orange rapist taking sanctions off Russian oil then? Course not, sticking to your own as always.

No, the solution is to crush the Iranian Regime from bullying other Countries by neutering them badly. The one's pissing those off in the Region is the Iranian Regime showing their true colours by lashing out indiscriminately (their modus operandi) at neighbour states. It's the Yanks that neighbours like Qatar are thanking for offering. Right I'm having to raise the White flag for now as Madrid just scored a 5th!🏳
Qatar, Saudi and UAE are all pissed that Trump started this. They know what Iran is like, but had coexisted with them reasonably well. Now their tourism is in bits as is the reputation as a safe haven.
Thats why they are in his ear telling him to stop.
The Iranian regime still stands and now with an apparent harder line leader with a dead father to avenge.

Couple it all with the nuclear weapons programme and production issue this past 6 months, as well as the attacks on Israel/US base, then yeah it's a major issue that needed addressing. There isn't one reliable bit of evidence which shows they have the capability of building a nuclear weapon.
They certainly haven't produced any nuclear weapons.
Iran still has highly enriched uranium stocks and The IAEA estimates that when Israel launched its first attacks in June, Iran had 440.9 kg of 60% of enriched uranium.
They only need 3% enrichment for public use like energy.
Maybe the IAEA are lying to us and in on it as well.
Shame that Trump tore up the nuclear treaty with Iran then.
This will be a lesson to other countries that have nascent nuclear programmes to get them completed as soon as possible as they are sitting ducks and at the mercy of the whims of whoever is POTUS given that congress has no backbone any more..
People such as Kim Jong Un will have learned this,

So the solution is making the Middle East even more unstable, pissing off key allies in the region, breeding further anti west feelings and laying the foundation for a global economic crisis.
I’d hate to see what plan B was.

No good came of the past 47 years reign of terror because of Iran. My issue is they should have been dealt with much sooner.

But no capability to turn any of that into weapons.
And if they did the UN security council would have approved any action.
They didn't have the capability and this is an illegal war.
It was about regime change, then it was nuclear weapons and then the threat of an imminent attack.
Now its about complete surrender.
No good will come from all of this.

The numbers killed by Hamas,Hezbolah and the Hooties are uncountable and these TERROIST organisations couldn't exist without funding from Iran. Surely a weakened Iran can only be a good thing for the rest of the world? Also, I can't help thinking that a lot of the vitriol surrounding this war wouldn't be half as potent were Trump not in charge. He could cure cancer tomorrow and they'll be some saying he should have left the disease alone. And is the rest of the world supposed to just sit back, watch and wait whilst Iran builds up the means to destroy us all?

You might want to have a serious word with Iran then for the past 47 long years which is why this has all come about. That's for what. When did Iran attack the US?
Iran and Israel can attack each other all they want, it’s what they all do in that part of the world. It’s none of our or the United States business.
Multiple times through proxies that they sponsor.
So in the last year how many Iranian proxy attacks on the US has their been?
