Nuno's only had 9 game ffs!!I said 'so far'. If in the next five games he magically turns our win rate around to more than a point a game - which I clearly doubt - It won't look like transfer business is the only way out of the bottom three. But as it stands I think 9 games into a comparison to a bloke that only had 25 games total is a pretty good indicator with this current squad.
I do think we are better and more resilient under Nuno and clearly in a better place with much more of a fighting chance than we were under Potter. The defence and midfield seems largely to work now and is improving whereas it was an utter shambles under Potter. If we go a goal down we are not fucked and crumbling. We are still woefully, woefully short in attacking positions and this is now our big problem. We are toothless going forward on the left if Summerville is out, and Wilson cannot be relied on to lead the line- not for lack of effort it must be said- he's just not physically capable even if he is willing. If Bowen gets injured we are utterly fucked. We need at least two attackers, one of whom being a centre forward, in this window right and at the start and Sullivan HAS to change his ways, do business quick, and do the business NUNO wants rather than the business Sullivan wants. I think we have enough- just- in midfield. Maybe one more centre back and we should be in a position to start picking up some points. The only question is can we pick up enough in the remaining games to be safe.
The World cup coming round could be a saving grace with players perhaps open to loan moves until the end of the season in order to get into their squads where they might not ordinarily be. Mendes contacts list could be exceptionally helpful.

One defeat in last 5 games
4th best record for gaining points from losing position this season
Sorry to disappoint you doom and gloomers but we're staying up
Still have FA cup to cheer us up
Pint of half full beer please

Put your money on some 'hedge your bets' loan players of decent standing looking to showcase for the World Cup
Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
Exactly Atwood, unless it’s purely for the money then what decent player is coming in January when it’s almost certain they’ll be in the championship next season that I would assume a pay cut.

The good thing is that Wolves and Burnley have gone, so just one relegation place to worry about.
Leeds will be the side who we'll be battling with, I suspect, and Nuno has already gifted them 3 points, the useless wanker.
Can't argue with that really. Those 3 points we gifted them could be crucial come the end of the season.

I hear Nuno was born in Africa.
Shame we can't lose him for the AFCON.

Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
Its simply down to us, Leeds and Burnley.
Leeds home form is and will be better than ours unless Jorge Mendes pulls some “rabbits from the hat” in Jan but even if he does Sullivan and owners will still be crying “PSR, we have to sell before we buy”. All signs point to relegation imo

Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
I hate to say I think we are now firm favourites for the drop. The squad weakness and last 4 years of abysmal running of yhe club by Sullivan and Brady has caught up. You can point to managerx but ultimately 5 in 18 months with different styles and player preferences all due to a complete absence of planning and vision. Short term, reactive action has led us to not having a squad fit for the PL. Bring in any manager and they will struggle with still one if not the slowestsquad in the league that lacks the power and sthleticism needed.
The current disaster started in the second half of 2021/2022 when Moyes squad management of only wanting 14 players started and there was no awareness of the need to build for the future as Sullivan was “dining out” on 18 months of effective Moyesball and us in Europe. Sullivsn did spend but wasted most of tyat soend with no footballing plan / philosophy or awareness of how the PL was changing to fast, young, athletic players. He continued with his 1990s methods vis agents contscts and getting old, slow players with experience but no thought anout their fit as there was no defined style to fit them to. Millions wasted and history will show it resulted in relegation

we are three adrift as it is and if we can scrape a couple of wins between now and January then we are done for.

Erm, excuse me, could we please try and keep the hatred for the Manager for the designated thread so it doesn't trigger certain posters. Thank you.
