"We got a movie and box set thread; anyone got any recommendations for a decent podcast? Not just football related but on anything that may be of interest. About the only regular podcast i listen to is Joe Rogan, the recent one with Russel Crowe is quite entertaining although a bit long."

Athletico Mince....yes ,been around for ages but episode 45 onwards are really funny, love Bob Mortimer.
'The Alderman' stuff is fantastic. Very funny, vicious, toe-curling and a frighteningly accurate .satire on the abuse of young kids by powerful men.

Ironcast is always a good watch (below). Think Martin Allen, Tony Cottee and Mark Ward also did one on Undr The Cosh which is also pretty good. @MickandTonyTheManagers with Mick McCarthy and Tony Pulis with guests is a decent look into coaching and management, although McCarthy tends to interupt a tad too often, although who would tell him that! Let Me Be Frank podcast with Frank McAvennie has some old Hammers on and seems decent but I just can't understand a lot of it and the subtitles on You Tube are hilarious, whoever does them hasn't a clue what Frankie is saying either!

About 15 years ago someone on here recommended Dan Carling. Russell Brand referenced him the other day.

Some PWOPA NAWTY stuff happened during the Troubles, which folk are recently discovering.
If you're into that, read Say Nothing by Patrick Radden Keefe.
An EXCELLENT account.
They made a Netflix tv series about it as well.

I'd recommend it, good read and a bit of an eye opener into some of the tactics used by both sides during the troubles.
Is the blokes name Freddie Scappaticci, aka stakeknife.
I'm reading a decent book about him.
Stakeknife's Dirty War: The Inside Story of Scappaticci, the IRA's Nutting Squad and the British Spooks Who Ran the WarBook by Richard O'Rawe
Yes it is. I've downloaded that on Audiobook, haven't started it yet.

This is a good one. 10 episodes about an IRA executioner who tortured and killed informers, and all the while he was working for the British intelligence service who knew what he was doing and let innocent folk die cos they couldn't blow his cover.
Dr. David Linden: Life, Death & the Neuroscience of Your Unique Experience....... best podcast I have seen in a long time Also there is some really good stuff on Essentia Foundation such as this interview with Pim Van Lommel
