Agree on the twist thing so fucking annoying, people wouldnt shut up when sixth sense came out about an amazing twist, guessed it as soon as the "I see dead people" line is mentioned, probably would have missed it if people just kept their mouth shut.
Anyway, Bruce is dead, Darth is Luke's father, and Roger Kint was Keyser Soze all along, have a good day
What a spoiler at the end this post. Nice twist though.

British then English for me.
Ultimately, I'm both.
 That makes no sense .
No such thing as British then English.
Being British used to mean something .English/Scots/Welsh/Irish...forged by blood split over many yrs .
Now it means nought.
Inviting in the third world with the golden ticket of a British Passport was the start of what is playing out today
I want to watch a film because I've heard it's good, if someone tells me there's a twist at the end I'm sitting there second guessing everything, it's always better if it hits you unexpectedlyÂ
I think pretty much every film of that genre is going to have twist at the end. I think you'd be pretty naive not to think so.
Didn't know the genre, but if that's true, no need to say it is there.
If you go into a film knowing the end is going to subvert the narrative and flow then it's going to colour your viewing experience, maybe its because you went to film school I dont know.
''subvert the narrative and flow'' ''colour your viewing experience''
Haha, fucking hell. WHO has definitely changed! Did you compliment the overall experience with some caviar and bucks fizz?Â
But having a twist at the end means you are more likely to want to see it.

Because it's a spoiler isn't it, thought that's obvious, a twist should be unexpectedÂ

I watched The Housemaid last night. Was a pretty good thriller. Those who lust after Sydney Sweeny will love it.Â

"how many on here would firstly describe themselves as British as opposed to English?"
I do but then I am half Welsh, quarter French and the rest is mostly English with a Scot thrown in.
Think of myself as a British South Londoner as that is where I grew up.

I know you meant well Swiss but can people stop saying when a film has "a nice twist at the end"?
Why?

Ironically, O’Connell keeps playing significant British roles such as 79’ as a being hunted by the IRA and as Paddy Mayne, the iconic Northern Irish SAS founder.Â
Great actor though.Â
Dad’s a sweaty, Mum’s half English, half Jewish, I’m English first, British a close second.Â
Born and raised in the East End and now up in Scouseland.Â

English then British. Most Scots and Welsh I meet would say the same. I.e. Scots , Welsh first.Â
i think the term British is easier for non - British people like the Irish and in the US the term Brits is often used.

Only found out last year ...I'm fucking gutted.
as far as I'm concerned the term British has been ambushed and abused to their advantage by the usual suspects...BRITISH PASSPORT.
