The Ashes.

Just been announced that Josh Hazlewood will miss the first test due to start in Perth next Friday. This is a big blow to the Australians as they will already be without their captain and no.1 pace bowler Pat Cummins.
Englands preparations for the tour has been questioned by many as they have opted to play no warm up games aside from a one off against the English lions.
Many are saying that its crucial that we get of to a good start in Perth which basically means we cant afford to lose seeing as the 2nd test in Brisbane is a day/night game ( fucking ridiculous) where the Aussies are strongly fancied.
Looking forward to this now but really unsure of how it will play out, I guess I'd still make them slight favourites due to home advantage. Going to be a few all nighters in the coming weeks for me, let's hope it'll be worth it.

NZ win the toss & bowl hoping for the dew to come in during the chase
Neesham in for Sodhi
SA bring back Rabada Jansen & Maharaj who had a rest in their dead game

De Kock needs to get back in the runs, if he does SA might have too much

I think S Africa is the best team
But they and NZ have a knack of choking from any position in ICC tournaments
Be interested to see what sort of pitch India prepare tomorrow which they think will play to their strengths over England
They tried to be too clever in the 2023 ODI World Cup final when they had the better team

Jacks has been outstanding in his current role
Risky to change
t20 takes a bit of luck. They need to look at Buttler in the nets
Is he completely out of form with no confidence?
Always looks a bit of a sensitive soul does Jocelyn
Expect he will be given the chance to turn it around given his career record

Really is anyone's to win now. Gun to head I'd say SA to win it but it really is wide open. Agree with the Butler comments, lower him in the order, take some pressure off of him.

Hard game to call between the perennial semi finalists New Zealand & S Africa at 1.30
Both have destructive batsmen who could turn it with a day out
Matt Henry has managed to fly to NZ & back to look at a baby when he was expected to miss out. Big positive for them
I’d go for S Africa narrowly today

If Butler plays like his old self we can beat anyone, They should drop him down the order to 5 or 6 and have Jacks and Salt opening

I predict an England v South Africa final.
By far the two best teams of the tournament and too strong for India and Nez Zealand, respectively.

I thought the danger team would have been the Windies, India won't be no pushover especially in their backyard.
