Yeah I forgot to mention Todibo who looks like the player Steidten thought he was.  Him and Kante might be the 2 Steidten picks that redeems him.  Todibo is very quick now. Nothing like that bloke who looked like he was smoking 60 a day under Potter, Loppy and co. 

Massive psychological point that 

Special mention also for Hermansen who is proving now why he was highly thought of when we got him. That slightest of touches to tip it on to the bar was top, top drawer.

Earlier in the season I called Todibo all sorts. My word, he looks like a Rolls Royce since Nuno got hold of him. Three exceptional centre halfs out there tonight. Dinos has had much stick “the greek tragedy” I remember people calling him. The bloke is an absolute warrior, not a tragedy. 

That is some point. I couldn’t handle how nobody was brave enough to put their foot on it in that last 10 and we just kept punting it back for them to come again, but we held the shape superbly. 

If Traore had a football brain, we might have nicked it. Fuck he is shit. Him and Magassa continuing to look not up to it the only negatives, but even that’s scraping the barrel a bit. These usually do us 3, 4 or 5. Mega point in these circumstances, and huge for morale which seems sky high currently.  
 

A point I could never see us gettimg before or even during the game. They were quicker to the ball and strong squad options but our team spirit and fight is the best I’ve seen from a West Ham team in a very long time.  We dont have the squad options to go “toe to toe” with a possession team and squad like City so it was all about limiting them to as few chances as possible and getting the “rub of the green” which was the case for 3 chances they had including the one the grazed the bar.

Mavropanos rightly MOTM followed by Hermansen despite being “aligator arms” for their goal. That said it was a sublime chip assuming Silva meant it?

Every player put a shift in, they had to against a team like City.  Well done to all.  

 

What an effort.

Tadibo and Mavro both stood out.

An all round team result. Keeper was in the right place at the right time all game.

We’re out of the bottom 3 with Chelsea, City, Man U and Liverpool behind us.

every game we play now is winnable and that includes Arsenal and Newcastle away.

stay up and win the Cup with Spurs going down would be a Season to remember. Hats off to Nuno, he’s doing a hell of a job. 

Best we could have hoped for against them. Really in good form now and optimistic we will stay out the relegation zone. Just hope it’s Tottenham that go down and not forest and it’s going to be great season. Even if Arsenal end up winning.

This just keeps the good spirit rolling. They’ll be full of confidence after that rearguard going into the Villa game. Fingers crossed Jimmy might be back

Fucking ell, thought they were going to score at the death. What a point. Mav and Todibo the pick, Mav is becoming a cult hero, becoming quite a defender. Credit to Hermanssen as well. Baptism of fire but unfazed and has pulled off some cracking saves. I've given Nuno some stick but you have to credit him for slowly but surely getting us organised. Well done West Ham.
