Not really my thing but absolute respect to the guy for creating, doing what he loves and putting it out there knowing that the world is full of cunts who just want to knock you for having the audacity to create something that might not be your cup of tea.
I think the issue here is not that some bloke went off and recorded a song that we don’t like, it’s that it’s a song that is passing itself off as an expression of West Ham’s character and as the fans make up a big part of what makes West Ham what it is, this song is essentially about them. So they have a right to be pissed off if it mischaracterises who they are.
But a bigger fear is this seems to have club backing as the bloke was at a club sponsored event at the Boleyn playing this and a video of it was widely shared. There’s a suspicion that it will start being played at the club and pushed in a corporate style rebranding of the club in the way Arsenal did with that dirge they commissioned to be played at games.
If that happens then that will only alienate the fan base further. Made up new songs is fine for clubs with not much soul or identity like Arsenal but not for West Ham.

Nope, not for me, its utterly cringeworthy. Unfortunately its just a reflection on modern society (which is shit) where the sole aim, in this case anyway, isn't to promote West Ham but for cuntbook, twatter and instatcunt views.
This song can fuck off, its bad enough being at the toilet bowl let alone having a song like this utter shit 'representing' us

A reflection of today's fan-base...soft and wanky. Give me the Cockney Rejects any day.

They should rename the song, “ you’ll never take the East End but you can have the children.”

Thankfully it hasn't been endorsed by the club, as far as I can see.
Only Trevor Brooking, silly old cսnt - what was he thinking.
I hope it gets a few plays over there tonight.
All together now
Going out on a limb despite all the banter I rate this tune and the sentiment! The culture will never die….vould get Olivia Dean to do a cover….⚒

Honky, I've just realised that you are JJ Jones and I'm sorry if you found my comment offensive. Keep trying at the music, mate. You'll find an audience eventually.

to the dreary wet wipes who listen to this to spice up their ed sheeran playlist while perfuming their testicles at the behest of their wife's boyfirend, if you get to command the zeitgeist and somehow push this song into prominance ala that apocalyptically cringeworthy goon dirge, then i'm demanding we replace twist and shout with stabwound by necrophagist.
Aww mate, lighten up
I reckon this is a shoe in for Eurovision
