I have made small update to the site today. It allows you to mute threads that you are not interested in.

If you click the spanner icon when viewing a thread you should see the option here

If you want to see the list of threads you have muted, then go to your profile (Click you username top right) and then choose 'user control panel' and within there you will find a section where you can see your muted threads and unmute the ones you have changed your mind about.

The US politics thread was one picked at random to demonstrate. Other threads are available to be muted.

Let me know if you have any questions, complaints or outright abuse for adding this feature.

Not really advisable you using the word raspberry
Given that is clearly one of your favourite words, can't see why you'd have any concern whatsoever..

Nice one. This will definitely help make the site more tolerable.

FMOB😳 your turning into an old woman…

Pointless threads is all in the view of the reader?personally I just ignore or don’t bother opening a thread without a second thought again if I find it boring, stupid or uninteresting rather than let it bother my “tolerance” levels, if that makes me a dullard then I suppose I will just have to live with it🤷‍♂️

FFS what next trigger warnings 😂

Why not just ignore threads if you're not interested in them? This is what i do and we have all done for years, open once and its BS, then leave it.

All part of the sanitized world we live in init. Maybe younger posters get offended or have panic attacks seeing threads they have no interest in..........
Could you possibly get anymore cliched you big fucking dullard? Folk have different tolerance levels and some would rather not have to see pointless threads on their screens when logging in. I think it's a useful feature.

The way to stop people being bored is for them to contribute more original subjects themselves.

Some people seem to have a morbid fear of being seen to be wrong or making an absolute arse of themselves...on an anonymous website, ffs.

Wasn’t intended to stop people being offended. Was meant to stop people being bored.
