I mean going into general prison population as a household name child murderer, he was always going to have a target slapped on his back and what happened to him was probably coming, which you cant argue isn't poetic Justice,
Isn't hardly poetic justice when a triple murderer who murdered a pregnant woman dishes it out.
The scumbag, Anthony Russell, has been charged with his FORTH murder by the way.
Fourth murder?? FMOB. At what point does murdering become boring and you develop other interests?
Murdering and then moving onto to gardening and DIY house renovation's should be on the murderers prison reform syllabus

The scary thing about him was that he looked completely normal, most nonces and child murderers look noncey and murdery. His bird on the other hand looked very capable of it.
Agree with the others, you can't have wrongens dishing out 'justice' to other wrongens. The state needs to finish these people off.

The wars are in a bigger scale world wars rather the tribal of nations, I will try those books thanks. Try Johnathon Black the Sacred History of the world
Pinker's argument in a nutshell here:
Germany in the 20th century, wracked by two world wars, had 144 war deaths per 100,000 per year. Russia had 135. Japan had 27. The US in the 20th century had 5.7. In this 21st century the whole world has a war death rate of 0.3 per 100,000 people per year. In primitive societies 15 percent of people died violently; now 0.03 percent do. Violence is 1/500th of what it used to be.

Isn't this the safest and most peaceful time to EVER be alive as a human being? Despite the war and negative propaganda we yet fed by the media.

In response to Wils, The first civilisations go back to 3000 BC , In 5000 years we as in Humans have not progressed much since then. There are still wars, paedophilia, rape and murders
Agreed. But not as many wars and murders. See Steven Pinker, Better Angels of our Nature and Tom Holland's Dominion on how cheaply early civilisations saw the lives of other people. Things are regressing back towards those times.

In the last few months the wrong'un Watkins, and another man who tortured and murdered his very young stepson have been dealt a proper justice behind the door. Seems like this is happening a bit more than in recent years.
Indeed, and there is no way the prison authorities are not complicit in this. Turning a "blind eye" and leaving targeted murderers and nonces unattended. I don't condone it at all as it is all completely arbitrary as previously pointed out.
This reminds me of how Jeffrey Dahmer got served up in a yank prison by another murderer. There's a great drama series on Netflix about him by the way. The geezer who plays him is superb in it.

Respectfully disagree, Wils. If Huntley or similar monsters commit murder, rape, whatever, it's all on them. 100% of the blame is on them, and not any element is the fault of 'society', whatever the social climate.
Not quite what I was saying.
The point I was trying to make is revelling in the violent murder of another human being (regardless whether he or she warrants being regarded as one after doing what he did) has a brutalising effect and inures us all to violence. The consequence of which makes violence more likely to occur and puts us (and our children!) more at risk of becoming victims to it. This is further to the point surface made about allowing violent criminals to become the arbiter of who lives and dies. Dancing on graves and revelling in violence against people we despise is not a healthy development.

I'm pretty sure we are all glad that he is dead. Personally, I think we should have capital punishment and the state should have executed him. However, it seems to me we should be careful about celebrating his murder in prison. Followed to its logical conclusion this means that murderers and other violent criminals become the arbiters of who gets to live or die. I'm not really up for that - where would it end?
I am not glad he is dead. I think revelling in his death just brutalises society to such an extent that it creates an environment that makes it more likely someone else will repeat his crimes or worse. I would have preferred he was detained but treated humanely until his natural death to set an example of how a civilised society should behave. Just like he had set an example in the field of school caretaking.

I'm not sure, I think 'janitor' might be the American version of the same role.
Although now I think about it, I reckon a caretaker would be responsible for more of the Titchmarsh stuff like making sure the grass was always cut whereas a janitor would stick to changing light bulbs and banging on the boiler with a great big wrench.
Huntley could perform both roles competently, equally at home on a ride-on lawnmower as he was bleeding a radiator. Of course, that doesn't excuse the fiddling but he would have been hard to replace in his professional capacity.

Huntley wasn't a paedophile, he was a murderer. He was also a bloody good caretaker. By all means, slag him off, call him evil and be glad he's dead but don't tarnish his name even further with crimes he didn't commit. His mum might read WHO and she is a grieving innocent.
He got a 13 year old pregnant when he was 21 years old.
Was known to be in a relationship with a 15 year old at the same time.
He was arrested for sexual assault on an 11 year old when he was 23
He was arrested for raping an 18 year old when he was 26.
The man was a paedo and nonce and the only reason they couldn't prove he had sexually assaulted the girls was because their bodies were to decomposed.
Death was to good for him, he deserved torture.
I didn't know about any of that noncery, so I will retract all of my post except about his sterling work as a caretaker. Agreed, he deserved what he got, just a shame we had to pay to keep him alive for so long until he got served up.
