"Lou Reed - Move your Heart. Not exactly Velvet Underground-ish, to be honest."

Strawbs - Part of the Union. Or should I have posted that on the 'ger's thread or what passes for the Brexit thread this month?

"dm. I think DD marked the end of the 'glam' phase of his career which for me wss his best period. I played 'The man who sold the world' and 'Space Oddity' back to back the other night and its amazing ( to me anyway) to think there was only a couple of years between those and the release of 'Ziggy'' Speaking of which,i remember being 12 years old and not getting out of bed for school until i'd listened to at least half of Ziggy or Hunky Dory. Looking back i can see why me ol mum had het worries vis a vie my Bowie obsession."

"Mozza - Haffner Symphony (35th) (yes, really)... 3rd Movement (Menuetto) is the dog's doo dahs, but best listened to in context with the other movements. Mozza - the original 18th Century rock star, long before social media came along and awarded that accolade to every Tom, Dick and Harriet"

"Queen - The Miracle (again) I've kind of recently rediscovered their last few albums with Freddie Mercury, after years of writing them off as too poppy and commercial, compared with their mid 70s albums. I know a lot of people don't like Queen and their albums are admittedly patchy from 1976's A Day at the Races onwards, but there is still some good stuff on each album right up to 1991's Innuendo"
