Moyes Kevin Nolan confirmed as new Northampton Town manager

Post ray winstone »

https://www.theguardian.com/football/20 ... ew-manager

It'll be interesting to see how he gets on, one for the future maybe..........

Kevin Nolan has been named Northampton Town’s new manager on a two-and-a-half year contract. The former West Ham first-team coach has returned to a No 1 role for the first time since being sacked by Notts County in August 2018. Nolan’s first taste of management came as a player-manager at Leyton Orient two years earlier.

Got rather unfairly panned here by some. Thought his goals were pretty crucial in getting us promoted and securing our status. Good man, decent footballer, cut his teeth under an old school manager so will probably do well for them

Always liked him, he also seemed to love being at WHU, sure I saw him say in an interview that his son is a massive West Ham fan now?

Hope he does well, not sure he will ever grace the PL as a manager but an old school football person so respect where it’s due.

Good luck Kev

Likes a drink allegedly?  Hope he does well. Not keen on his BFS football approach but he genuinely seemed to enjoy his time at West Ham as a player and coach and always talks us up.

Wonder if he will do the “Chicken dance” in the dugout when Northampton score?

I think he takes his roles seriously but I don’t think that a disciple of Allardyce would ever really flourish at Weat Ham no matter how good his intentions or his high regard for the club. I wouldn’t want to see him struggle here but wish him well elsewhere.
