Working in Singapore we were taken on a company day out by Ferry to Batam Indonesia. The ‘do’ was on a Kampong stilted complex above the water. I was showing off High diving into the water until I went for a dump and saw the bogs were open and dropped turds straight into the drink.

So I have shat and dived into shit on the Equator

Probably Kenya or Rio, I'll have to check the map. The most memorable was in the Gambia where I had a desperate urge to defaecate. Then we arrived at a beach; so I rushed into the sea, but about 4 others had followed me and every time I tried to move away they kind of followed me Eventually I pulled my shorts down and just got on with it. Two things shocked me at that point. One was the semi formed faeces did not just disappear behind as I expected, It floated, and worse, it came up in front of me. I moved from the scene as quickly as I could, and luckily nobody else spotted the floating nuggets of foul smelling excrement.

I've been to Nanyuki in Kenya, so assuming I had a shit that day - ON the equator.

Somewhere in Florida. Not particularly close. That would also be my most southerly shit. I'm not sure I've ever been into the southern hemisphere, amazingly. Most notherly shit will have been in Reykjavik. Most westerly in Vancouver and most Easterly in Tokyo.
