One of the best albums I've ever heard.
Religion. Abuse. Sexuality. Happiness. Canibalism (yes, really). Death. And resurrection.
Not 'easy' listening by any means, but fucking hell, rewarding.

Also, absolutely no 'bangers'. Thank fuck.

Going to see an Arctic Monkeys tribute band next week, so I'm in the process of making a playlist of their hits, so I can familiarize myself in zee gym

hopefully they play the earlier stuff, you can't wrong with any of the tracks on the first two albums

I’ve never really tried the Arctic Monkeys.  I’ll give those first two albums a go. 

dm, if you like drummers you'll love them. that's what always stood out for me, matt helders playing. also really well produced

Listening to a minidisc I recorded a while ago consisting of my favourite tracks from the first three Sophie B Hawkins albums. 

I can't help noticing that Hawkins sounds a bit like Hawkwind. You old raptorphile.

It's a shame they fade it out only half way through. The Welsh spliff-heads were barely getting started.
