Oh come on that's just silly, we beat QPR because Fernandes wasn't playing after he was when we lost 3-0 to Wolves, we lost 3-0 to Wolves cause Paqueta wasn't playing... We hadn't won a league game without Paqueta before today... Anything can be twisted like that... They're all in it together and it isn't down to any individuals.
He missed 5 games in 2025. We won 2 and only lost 1 of them.
He missed 2 games in 2026 so far, we won both of them.

Winning 4 and losing only 1 out of the 7 he hasn't played is significant for a team that has won so few games over the last year or so.

I know it's a simplistic take, but I have long held that his play (losing possession, diving all the time) undermines the team.
He also missed the Wolves game easily our worst performance of the season... Selective facts... So easy to pick games.. We also didn't win other games he missed... It's utter nonsense.. Not just him but any single player...

Not even statistically significant
Win rate with him playing in the team: 15%
Win rate without him playing in the team: 57%

That's statistically significant. A wide confidence interval because of the small sample size, but it's significant.

When he scored his penalty against Brighton, he celebrated like he'd won us the game single handedly...
bloke infront of me at the LS pointed out that when Welbeck scored his first penalty he ran into the goal, picked up the ball and jogged back to the centre spot.

It's all about him

I cant believe the rest of the squad don't see that too

Fellow Portuguese speaker Fernandes, who was a doubt today, clearly doesn't miss him

His head has gone since the FA crap (I still wonder if it was some underhand tactic to stop his big move?)

now I’m sorry for him but he needs to go home and find his head again. Get his mojo back.

hes playing 4/10
most games and feels we owe him a living.

sell at best price we can get
replace with best we can sign

He's an occasional match of the day player .
I'm BORED with him and his baggage.
30 M British pounds  is acceptable to me at this point.
Having people that don't want to be there and are ultimately unhappy is never a good thing.
Without all that carry on with the betting he'd have been gone two yrs ago FFS.

Use the money on a quality young center half and bring in a holding midfielder with some pace.

This needs to be the absolute minimum we need to do this window.

Agree Nutsin although getting in the right players, or for that fact any players, is always the risk with Sullivan. He may just see the fee as a way to cover much of the cost of the two lads brought in and look instead for some budget fee, stop gaps. Old, slow, high wages, no resale value are the usual attributes that we ( or should I say Sully ) goes for.

Having this bloke hang around like a bad smell doesn’t sit very well with me at all.

if he were to play out of his skin, and contribute to some much needed points, it would only beg the question why couldn’t he have tried a bit more in the previous games this season?

He can fuck off. And when he gets there, he can fuck off some more.

It does not matter how good he is (dont rate him as high as others). He simply does not want to play for us. We aren't in the position to dig our heels in on this one. Sell him and move on.

He wont be playing against spurs at the weekend and he should not either. Nuno and the club are delaying the inevitable in trying to keep him here or holding out for a price we wont get.
