Odds slashed from 5/1 to 7/2.

If Burnley get any kind of result at the mackems , they'll be right up for our spineless heroes.
We've well and truly fucked ourselves tonight...and the manner of the defeat is the killer .

Relegation is only academic when it is mathematically impossible to stay up

If we we were going to stay up we had to find the fortitude and character to win that today given where we were at HT. Given where we are, just winning what look like the remaining winnable games is not enough, and we'll probably find a way to fuck some of those up too.

Today tells me its over. I don't see other teams collapsing. They will do what they need to do.

The sooner we can just get it over with the better.

As Stubbo says 18 points lost from winning positions but root cause = most goals conceded in the division. Although defence is a problem, you defend as a team. Nuno needed to refresh and crowd out midfield to stop the tide and crosses or source of their attacks.  Potts and Magassa no longer used.

Mateta pulling a Paqueta and refusing to play for Palace this weekend. That’s great news. Especially if Larsen doesn’t end up joining. A highly disgruntled striker stuck at the club is good for us. Even better if they have to sell him and cannot replace him.

Yes he does. It's a shame they are replacing a malcontent with someone who wants to be there and probably has a point to prove. However it's likely a downgrade and Strand Larsen could have just been a one season wonder. Cue 10 goals during the remainder of the season now
They both (Strand Larsen & Mateta) have purple patches but neither are better than a one in three/four. I guess that's all £50m gets you these days

If we dont strengthen our defence / our ability to defend we go down imo.

Sullivan has all but confirmed we wont be strengthening the CB area and that no players wantvto come to West Ham which really means he has no intention of spending any money this window. The sale of Paqueta and Guilherme has paid for Taty and Pablo. We’ve yet again, materially reduced the wage bill. Sullivan is in full cost cutting mode the only thing he knows how to do.

We get relegated as a result imo

Massive Attack" wrote: 29 Jan 2026, 16:11 I hope he has an instant impact for Palace and scores their winner against Forest. I just don't see Palace going down and would rather concentrate on Forest remaining on what they have, especially when we have Chelsea away next. Forest pull away with a win then we will be in even more trouble.

Forest are also on a nice unbeaten run themselves in their last 3 and need that momentum coming to a sudden stop for a bit.
You absolute clown.

Both are catchable, both are still in Europe. We need a draw.
