We're 3 points behind Forest.

We were dead and buried after they beat us.
And we were 12 points behind Spurs five weeks ago. We're now 5 points behind.

Although we have undoubtedly turned a corner and in a good run of form, we still haven’t really had much luck yet. The forest disallowed goal, Fulham and Chelsea last min, the others all winning when you expect them to loose etc. surly we are due something to go our way for once, hopefully the honeymoon will be over for Carrick come 10pm Tuesday and we do the unthinkable at Anfield. I must have been there 10 times now and never seen us win, but I keep going just in case, maybe this will be our year.

Driving us all nuts as we keep hanging in there without really getting close enough to overhaul someone.

It all comes down to maintaining the form and results of the last 4 or so games.  Going to have to compete in every game and hope to blag points in fixtures typically seen as no hopers like City and Pool. The Mancs hitting form with Carrick is typical of the bad timing we seem to always have.  I suppose the new manager bounce has got to wear off at some point? Got to hope we can be their nemesis as we have a few times down the years. At Liverpool we so rarely get anything, one win in what 55-60 years? Arsenal at home another we usually roll over in.

Just hope we can keep playing better and see what it brings.

Need to beat Bournemouth and ideally get something tomorrow night.  Still a long way to go for us.  Leeds have the toughest next three.  Forest probably win tomorrow night.

We just have to keep being bright going forward and play well at the games we need to.  Fulham and Palace away will be big for us.  Keeping Summerville and Fernandes fit is also vital, without either of them two we will struggle big time.

After zero points against Forest, Fulham and Wolves over Christmas I thought we were done and dusted.

There was nothing at all to suggest there was any fight or spirit in the team. To think that Potter thought the shower he began the season with was competitive makes the mind boggle.

I remember losing 6-0 away to fucking Reading of all teams when Curbishley was here but then Tevez pulled his finger out when he could of easily fucked off like the bloke he arrived with did.

What a dude 😎

We need to win some other games apart from the 'winnable' ones, if we are serious about staying up then we need to turn Man Utd over.
Yep, that pretty much sums it up

Yes, it is tough to pass Forest as they have similar form to us, 8 points last 5 games and we have 9 points last 5 games. So either we need to improve even further our form or we need Forests form to go down. Either is difficult to see happening. Leeds are the same form (8 points, from 5), but we need 6-7 points to catch them. If Spurs form (2 points from 5) does not pick up and our form is maintained we would finish above them by the end of the season. Difficult to see Spurs not picking up more points though. Brighton are similar form is 3 from 5, but we need 8-9 points to catch them. Palace´s form is 5 from 5 and we need 9-10 points to catch them. Newcastle's form is 4 from 5 and we need 10-11 points to catch them. Bournemouth's form is 11 from 5 and we need 11-12 points to catch them. We need to keep our form or improve and see what other teams do. We need someone to nose-dive.
As said it would help a lot if we get points against ManU as by Wednesday we can easily be back to 6 points adrift.

Looking at ours and the teams above fixtures i still think we have to win on Tuesday and against Bournemouth to have a decent shout at staying up.

The points we clawed back on Forrest could easily be given back as they face Wolves at home on Wednesday.

If we were to beat United it would ramp up the pressure and you never know with that will do particularly with that loon of an owner on their case

I think Dyche would  probably have enough nous to keep them up but a couple of tough European fixtures and increasing pressure from upstairs could change all that.

Leeds have some tough fixtures but would have to go into freefall and as much as I would love to see Tottenham relegated I just can't see it and also think Palace despite some issues will have more than enough to get over the line.

If we can still be in the mix come April we have a good chance to win all three fixtures.

The danger is that we run out of road.
.
It's all ifs and buts but we just need to be positive and try and get those wins on the board regardless of the opposition.

One win in two I still think will definitely keep us up but that is easier said than done

Leeds will pull clear, they score goals for fun.  Forest, Palace, Spurs, Brighton are the teams I think it will come down to.

We win enough of our own games and it drags others into it.

100% agree. We are already clawing our way back on those pitiful Spurs cunts for instance who are in freefall, so you're quite right.

It’s only 4 goals to Forest, one defeat for them vs one win for us will bring that back towards us.

Its going to be a marathon we just have to keep winning and stay in touch for now. IF we beat Man Utd and Bournemouth and Forest Beat Wolves and lose to Liverpool we MIGHT be out of the bottom 3 depending on the GD.  At some point we do need Forest to blink for us to overtake them.

Yeh unless spurs completely fall apart it’s us vs forest.
13 games and we need to get 3 or 4 more than them depending on GD.
