It would be classic west ham to lose 4 times to the team finishing bottom!

And may I say bollocks to Wrecsam and to fuck off back to where they came from.
I wouldn’t fancy Wrexham away.

In 5 of the last 14 seasons we've been knocked out by a Manchester team, and only once was it past the fifth round and twice in the third. So that's not the best luck.

In six of the last 10 EFL cups we've been knocked out by Man U, Liverpool, Arsenal or spurs. Four of those in the QF stage though.

In all fairness, I imagine several side's records aren't too dissimilar and a lot of cup runs end at the hands of those teams particularly late in the tournament. BUT the above doesn't include times we've been drawn against those sides in earlier rounds and actually won. There have been a few of those as well.

It's probably not as bad as some of us think, but I do believe we draw these sides more than our fair share, particularly in early rounds of tournaments. I think we are somewhat less than 50:50 in terms of getting home draws as well.

I don’t want to come across as a pedant but the chances of 1 of those 4 teams getting Mansfield is quite high because they make up a quarter of the teams left.

Anyone who thinks the draw is fixed probably also believes in the earth being flat.
Fair point, but it always seems to be a home draw for the big guns.
