The Ashes.

Post only1billybonds »

Just been announced that Josh Hazlewood will miss the first test due to start in Perth next Friday. This is a big blow to the Australians as they will already be without their captain and no.1 pace bowler Pat Cummins.

Englands preparations for the tour has been questioned by many as they have opted to play no warm up games aside from a one off against the English lions.

Many are saying that its crucial that we get of to a good start in Perth which basically means we cant afford to lose seeing as the 2nd test in Brisbane is a day/night game ( fucking ridiculous) where the Aussies are strongly fancied.

Looking forward to this now but really unsure of how it will play out, I guess I'd still make them slight favourites due to home advantage. Going to be a few all nighters in the coming weeks for me, let's hope it'll be worth it.

SA v Windies in the 9.30 game & India v Zim at 1.30
India probably need Windies to win (they have a better NRR) & then to win big themselves to stay in touch

If NZ win comfortably as looks likely they could lose to England & Pakistan would struggle to catch them on NRR
Group 1 the ‘easiest group’ is all the original group winners due to the seeding fix
Not sure what the semi final match up is
Winner Group 1 v Second Group 2
Second Group 2 v Winner Group 1
Presume only certainty is India staying in India for semi & final if they make it

India had the easiest group, Saffas v Windies will be a big game for India if the Windies win

New Zealand recover from 84/6 to make 168 & then knock over 2 early wickets
Could see NZ making the semis along with the Windies & SA from the other group seeing India out

To the naked eye it looks like he does vary his release time of the ball.
I swear some balls he holds it back to see if the batsman moves.

Just had a look at his action, it's odd but his arm is straight so it's probably legal.

I was out this morning to had to endure listening to the end of the match on TMS in my high spec car. My god Alex Hartley is awful, so so irritating. Poshos Dan Norcross, that Henry toff and that British Asian bloke are all equally annoying too.
