I finally got round to watching I Swear tonight. Funny as fuck and also very touching. Some superb acting too.
It also reminded  me of WHO ...the best and the worst.

Well enjoyed Family Plan 2 as well, a rarity with a sequel.  These sort of films always seem enjoyable, "Red" with Bruce Willis and "Nobody" although still waiting for the sequel to appear on platform.

Anyone seen Brothers (2009 film) starring Tobey Maguire, Jake Gyllenhaal & Natalie Portman.  I'd never come across it but a clip is on X and it looks fairly brutal.  Only available to rent and buy on platform so wondering if it's worth £3.49?

Has anyone seen Giant - the biopic of Prince Nazeem Hamed. I thought it was fairly entertaining, even though Pierce Brosnan is a bit shit as Brendan Ingle and the actor who played Frank Warren thought he was in a Guy Ritchie film.

Yeah just not my humour, plus I still haven't forgiven him, Ben Stiller & Owen Wilson for destroying my favourite TV series as a kid with their disaster of a Starsky & Hutch film.  Cringe doesn't cover it.

Enjoyed Family Plan (especially Michelle Monaghan), just realised that her and Wahlberg also played a married couple in "Patriots Day".  Going to watch the sequel tonight, it's just a fun watch.  Cheers for the heads up re Slow Horses, although I'm not a fan of Vince Vaughn.  Saw Game Night on a flight back from somewhere and it wasn't bad.  Bateman has done some decent comedy.  Paul (2011), The Switch (2010), The Change-Up (2011) all good fun.

Yeah this Vince Vaughn is more the Wedding Crashers type so if you don't like him in that you won't like this.

I watched the first part of 28 years later and thought it was a pile of shite and won’t bother with the second part. 

 

I'll give it a swerve then.  Thought 28 Days Later was a very good film, two decent enough, three "meh" I think they say, and was going to have a look at 28 Years Later until I read a review of the Bone Temple and it reminded me of that awful horror years ago called the Green Inferno or something like that and not into that Eli Roth type of garbage!

Pretty sure I have mentioned this before but if you like Alan Ritchson The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is a great fun film I thought. Henry Cavill is in it as well.

I've just taken out a free weeks trial of Apple TV via Prime as I saw a trailer for The Family Plan with Mark Wahlberg, along with it's sequel.  It looked entertaining enough and some of Wahlbergs films are usually a decent watch.  Apple also had Tom Hanks The Greyhound as well so will have a look at that as well.

I watched the Family Plan on a flight a couple of weeks ago, it's an ok watch.

Watched Game Night as well with Jason Bateman and it had a few proper LOL moments.

Yeah The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly warfare was good. The Greyhound is also very good. You will get Slow Horses of course which is top stuff and try Bad Monkey with Vince Vaughn.

watched War Machine last night. Was OK. I do like Alan Ritchson especially as Jack Reacher. But he was best in Blue Mountain State . Hilarious stuff .

Just watched it, Swiss.  Never heard of it before your mention.  A fun watch and a great example of how you don't need a massive budget to make an entertaining movie.

I remember a documentary called The Curse of The Omen.  It described tragedies or near misses for cast and crew.  The most chilling one was (piece of article below)

"However, the most disturbing of all was what happened to John Richardson’s assistant, Liz Moore. They were in the Netherlands when their car was hit in a crash. Richardson survived, but Moore did not, as a tire decapitated her. That alone is horrific, but here is where it turns strange. Richardson was the one who designed the decapitation scene in the film, where a character is gruesomely killed by a falling sheet of glass.

But when did the real accident happen? Well, chillingly, it happened on Friday the 13th, and the road sign nearby read: 66.6 kilometers to Ommen."

What Bruce Willis is dead. I know he's been unwell. Other great twists Nicole Kidman is dead in The Others and Ed Norton is Tyler Durden in Fight Club.

Nicole Kidman in The Others, there is a clue right near the start to that, blink and you miss it.

Watched Crime 101 on Sunday. Quite a slick heist type movie and some great driving stunts. Halle Berry looking good for her age, Overall a 6.5/10. 

I thought it was good and would go a little higher than 6.5, could have been a little shorter though. I've never been into Hemsworth before, but he was good in this.

I Swear was on my list of films to watch even before the BAFTA controversy. I finally watched it tonight. A fucking superb film. Great performances and a beautifully written human story.

Sky Cinema had Jurassic Park Rebirth on so thought I would give it a look. Think it's time for an asteroid to take out the franchise! Have to be honest I still think the effects in the original were superior and certainly the story line was.
