The Millwall Promotion Thread
Currently one point off an automatic promotion spot.
It'd be good having them in the PL innit?
Provided we stay up, obvs.
Would liven the place up a bit.

You'll probably love em - but fuck me the cսnt has to be bent
I make you right on both of them. And no, I don't 'love it'. Bad decisions ruin the game and whilst it can be great entertainment to see the clubs who have the most entitled supporters get shafted from time to time, you skanks are definitely not entitled.
I don't think he's bent, I think he's just bad. I was on a work thing at Loughborough University a few years back and all the Premier referees were on a course. They had to play small sided games to practice certain scenarios and it was a proper joke, none of them could do it right as they couldn't simulate contact. That group was the elite, the best referees we had in the country and whilst it was a long time ago now so the nonce and the dog bothered were part of it, you have to think that lower down the pyramid the referees are desperately underskilled so whilst you're only one tier below the top level now, it stands to reason that the officials will be getting it seriously wrong on a regular basis.
We've thrown a lot of money at officiating for a few years now but when you look at who we appointed to oversee that development you can see why it failed. With the world's best league (and I don't just mean the top tier) we should be looking for the world's best authorities to bring it up to scratch, not the old boy's network. Whilst the Premier level errors will be more widely seen and discussed at length, the football league will have many, many more instances of really bad mistakes worth potentially tens of millions. And those without VAR just disappear and you're supposed to shrug your shoulders.

IIRC they had to beat Blackburn at home in the last game of the season to secure a play off spot, Blackburn had nothing to play for yet beat them 1-4 or something like that. Bottom line, this lot ain't coming up.

I bet most of their fans will grudgingly take it, given what they’ve managed to win in the last decade. They’ll bounce back in time.

Although West Ham have always been in East London,we were never based in the actual East End. For old cunts like me who originate from that part of the smoke, it was always a fact that we found irksome at times
Hard to believe but obviously Upton Park and it's environs were the original ever so slightly well to do suburban dream...Central Park Estate was a textbook example of this.

Re: The Millwall Promotion Thread
Done by the Ref today...well and truly...one of the worst decisions seen this season with the sending off and the non penalty decision...
Get to the stge the PL will do anything not to have us in there!
Ipswich away next week will determine whether we have no chance of going up automatically or we are stlill in their fighting. Its the Championship so anything can happen and often does.
What ever i'm sure we are all united in Forest doing Spurs today....
The likelihood is that you will be safe now and we will not be going up, so at least if the footballing gods exist let Spurs be in our division next season as a nice booby prize

Re: The Millwall Promotion Thread
I like Coventry because we beat them in a League Cup semi final & 9-0 in the FA Youth Cup final
Millwall & Lampard in the Premier League & us not would be unbearable
Getting a Championship team promoted is what Lampard should have done with Derby & looks like he is doing it with Cov
Never should have got the Chelsea job or even Everton
Been a good week for him. Believe his wife ran third in the Cheltenham Gold Cup

Yeah I quite like Coventry, always remember them for that donkey free kick with Willie Carr and Ernie Hunt and as well as Jimmy the Chin.

Re: The Millwall Promotion Thread
The Championship has QPR, Charlton & if you class them as London Watford
Even without Tottenham the PL has us, Chelsea, Arsenal , Brentford , Palace & Fulham
I think us and Chelsea & even Arsenal would be classed as high risk games

Re: The Millwall Promotion Thread
Faux, it would still be the same number of London derbies, as spuds will be going in the opposite direction!

Re: The Millwall Promotion Thread
We have played them 94 times since 1899 9 of which were when they were called Millwall Athletic
We haven’t played them for 14 years and I doubt anyone could name any of their players
They are in the playoffs at least and on form a decent chance for automatic promotion behind Coventry
I think most would welcome their promotion only if it meant we played (and beat them h & a) next season.
The police will obviously be dreading them coming up given our games & the number of London derbies
Trying to police the open spaces around London Stadium will be a task
