Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
Yes good news. It would have been right out of the never learns short term fix with no thought past this season Sullivan special playbook. It had his greasy fingerprints all over it from the moment it was whispered.
You just know it would have been some sort of back breaking 2-3 year option on 150+ pw for a player past their prime with no resale value and a big mouth and sense of worth who just wouldn’t be a fraction worth it as his pace leaves him.
That’s a let off for us IMO. Let someone else be the sucker for once. God knows who will take on his insane wages and baggage though.

Another of our extremely speculative punts a la Terry Dixon or Gavin Holligan? Likely never play for the first team I expect and the club should never have made any sort of fanfare over the signing like it was something to shout about.

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
Todibo does seem to have really picked his game up now, to be fair to him. Trouble is he’s partnered with a clown every game, no matter who else is picked. Absolutely need another competent CB. Particularly if Todibo is to miss any time.
Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
Well yeah there is that..
Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
Agree, but not keeping a clean sheet since Nuno arrived is definitely a sign there is a problem in our defence too.
Especially when our 3 CB's appear to take in turns to be the shittest player at the club.

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
To be fair having a presence upfield may stop us sitting so deep and help us not concede goals

Poundland Aguero seemed to be the thinking for the Abu Dhabi's.

Sounds like our last few strikers![]()
It does, and that's the worry.
Still, as I said I've not seen him play a full game, and I'll obviously be delighted if he turns up and is mustard, but I can't see him being brought in as a striker given his profile. I'm hoping he's gonna replace Paqueta in the starting line up.

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
Ideally just need first team ready players. Was thinking earlier have we ever had any success with these young "one for the future" signings like Guilherme or Luizao or whatever his name is! Remember Doneil Henry? Never seen the point if they are never going to hit the mark. So much in transfer fees and wages wasted and that includes money thrown away on first team misfits like Kilman.

Newcastle - frozen north where they don’t speak any known language
Birmingham - city is knee deep in rubbish & again speak an intelligible squeal

Aston Villa, West Ham and Newcastle United hover for free agent – Big salaries offered
By Naveen Ullal
Aston Villa, West Ham United and Newcastle United are in the mix to sign Celta Vigo’s Óscar Mingueza.
On November 12th, AS reported Aston Villa, West Ham and Newcastle United are keen on the defender. The Villans’ interest isn’t new as they weren’t successful in their efforts to sign him a year ago.
The La Liga side are concerned of losing the 26-year-old as he has six months left on his contract. That’s according to Estadio Deportivo, and they cover the Premier League trio’s interest.
Estadio warn Celta Vigo sporting director Marco Garcés that he can’t ignore players with expiring contracts. There are currently seven and they are all eligible to sign a pre-contract with another club.
Among these, Mingueza’s case is the difficult one for the La Liga side, largely because he has ‘numerous offers’.
The 26-year-old earlier said he’s happy and his desire is to continue at the Spanish club. However, he’s yet to commit his future to Celta Vigo.
Estadio state it’s an ‘open secret’ that Aston Villa, West Ham, Newcastle United, AC Milan, Atalanta, Como and Marseille are all ‘willing to take advantage’ of his situation. These clubs are ready to offer him a salary higher than what Celta Vigo can propose.

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
Who knows what the young striker will be like, but he at least does seem to have the profile for English football. Will be top scorer in the Championship next season when we get promoted.

Doesn't feel like the sort of signings that will win us 8 more games before the season ends, but we'll see.

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
Playing no strikers is a West Ham thing. Not a specific manager thing. Maybe because we’ve barely had one worthy of the name in order to put on a team sheet in the last three years. It’s hardly a coincidence every manager played strikers everywhere else they have been other than here.
When Nuno had a striker or strikers durable enough to play one every minute of every game he did. So I fully expect him to if these two guys or two others come in.

This is why the away support gets so much respect. Not everyone is in a position to stop being a cսnt.
But sums you up that you think you're better than others.
I'm obviously referring to those who choose to go over people who choose not to go to games like angry Miike.
So you stop being a cսnt.

You don't even go to games, which you readily admit to, which is the equivalent of the trenches for football supporters.Loads of fans who don't go to games for various reasons doesn't make us that go more West Ham or better fans
fraser, they all jump in when I answer one back. you'll have ginger saville jumping in next. I wouldn't go back over there if you paid me, and I never missed a game (youth, reserves, anything) for close to twenty years. you can only be treated like shit for so long
