?"Been a while since we've had one of these, and the nights are drawing in, so I need something new to watch. A few to get things going.. ""Cold War"" (1998) Series made by the same people who did 'The World at War'. Covers the period from 1945 to 1991. This is episode 1, the same person's put up all the other episodes too.. ""To Mars by A-Bomb: The Secret History of Project Orion"" (2002) BBC film about the Cold War era plan to build an ocean liner-sized spaceship, propelled by endless external nuclear explosions. Fascinating from start to finish. ""Reggae"" (1971) Film about the 1970 Wembley reggae festival. Live clips, interviews, etc. If you like old ska/reggae you'll love it. "

Northern Sold 7:03 Thu Oct 9 Is that the one when a couple of French filmmakers are at a Fire Station in NYC the morning it all happened? If so a very harrowing but incredible bit of television. A couple I saw recently were two on the history of safety in Formula One which were fascinating. And if you can find it an ESPN documentary called The Two Escobars is an incredible documentary.

The Imposter - part recreation/part doc about a missing kid. Best thriller I've seen in ages. Restrepo - embedded footage following US soldiers trying to keep a trade road open in Afganistan. Simultaneously harrowing and uplifting Burma VJ - lifting the lid on the brutality and the failed revolution. All covertly filmed from within the country at great danger to himself
