Callum Wilson’s West Ham contract terminated?? - Ex says it's not true

Exclusive: Callum Wilson’s West Ham contract terminated
West Ham and Callum Wilson have agreed to terminate his contract early, sources have told Football Insider.
It emerged on Monday that the striker, 33, could quit the London club this month.
Now, sources say that a full agreement is in place between Wilson and the hierarchy for him to leave the club by mutual consent.
Wilson was signed on a cheap, incentivised one-year deal after leaving Newcastle United in the summer.
He will now be available as a free agent in what is expected to herald a stampede of interest from clubs in the UK and overseas.
West Ham have confirmed the signings of two forwards picked by Nuno Espirito Santo, Pablo Felipe from Gil Vicente and Taty Castellanos from Lazio for a combined package of up to £47million.
Both could be involved on Tuesday against Nuno’s former club Nottingham Forest, who are four points above West Ham.

Better not have a new deal, he's fucking useless. Wouldn't cut it in the championship either the fucking lightweight. We keeping him as a pet or what?

Read he's got a new 1 year deal.
Re: Callum Wilson’s West Ham contract terminated?? - Ex says it's not true
As others have said it's a no brainier to keep him at least till the end of the season. On for maybe six minutes or so yesterday, two shots on goal, one blocked and one goal. It would be interesting to see him up top with Taty just behind doing his running for him.

It's a no brainer to keep him as far as I can see.
He sniffs out goals with his experience and nous and seems like a decent character to have around.
We will undoubtedly have more chance of staying up with him in the squad and ready to be called into action.

Nuno on Wilson when asked if he's leaving "there are players that have to leave and we are being very direct and honest, so it’s up to them to look at the best options”
Smell the fucking coffee and keep him, divvy.

That wilson was back on the bench, and got on the pitch suggests its all been smoothed over. Nothing to see here. I expect hes been put on a regular wage rather than minutes played.
The two new lads have given us a bit of energy and taken the pressure off bowen. I expect pablo would have been introduced gradually under different circumstances, but he had to be played as we're so short.
I think it's more likely he was on the bench as with no Paqueta he was the only attacking substitute at the Club with both strikers starting.
Re: Callum Wilson’s West Ham contract terminated?? - Ex says it's not true
Suspect the appearance with a few mins to go of the game was simply a way to trigger his contract clause that pays him a decent wedge as opposed to the ridiculously low basic he’s on. Scoring a goal to win was a “happy accident” and certainly not a tactical masterstroke.
Created a dilemma for Nuno / club.

Re: Callum Wilson’s West Ham contract terminated?? - Ex says it's not true
I reckon he’s had a change of heart because he thinks he can start ahead of Pablo and will still get minutes.
Re: Callum Wilson’s West Ham contract terminated?? - Ex says it's not true
He just needs to be convinced to stay as a supersub, if his ego will allow it. He just doesn’t have the legs for more than about 55 minutes, but he is such an intelligent forward that he’s an asset for that last 30 from the bench.
I think Pablo will be a steady player. He holds the ball up well and puts himself about. Seems better at bringing other players into play than being a threat himself.
Taty is arguably what we need. A tenacious Argie who occupies defenders and will chip in with a few goals. Might be coincidental but a marked improvement from Summerville since he’s come into the team.

Agreed that he’s simply too important to be binning him off. Get the ball in and around the box and he will score goals.
Taty looks a ‘trier’ but not a great finisher.
Pablo looks a bit lost.
in hindsight we’d have been better off dropping £20m on a defender.

He should be but even yesterday he didn’t get him on until the 91st minute.Hard to say as each game is a different type of challenge. For me if we play one up then it's Taty, if two up should be Wilson and Taty, I see no reason why to start Pablo ahead of Wilson. I'd probably start him next week.
I agree with this, if playing two he has to play. Pablo looks OK, puts in decent effort but I really don't understand why we paid that amount for him.

Agree Manners, such an intelligent forward. He's perfect to bring on, lacks pace these days obviously to stretch teams, but coming on in tight games any time from the hour mark when teams start tiring, you fancy him to find space at some point to get a chance, and he's just got it when it comes to scoring goals.
Personally, I'd be starting him in home games, where we need to be on the front foot from the off, and bringing him on in away games.

He's levels above the 2 lads we've brought in, even at his age.

5 goals in 810 minutes of football for us this season. Bowen has 6 in 1800 mins.
Nuno wants this bloke to leave and put his faith in two unknown entities!
Bonkers.

He's clearly pissed off about something, but I can't fault the fella for his effort and goals for us .
I can't believe I'm saying this , but Im quite warming to this bloke..
I always thought he was an absolute cock, I hold my hands up .
But he comes across as a decent fella.

I think it's a different scenario this time, we've got an owner quite clearly sabotaging consecutive managers. what player with any ambition would want to hang around this fucking car crash of a club. don't get me wrong, them fucking off would solve most of the problems but getting rid of them doesn't seem any nearer
