Exclusive: Callum Wilson’s West Ham contract terminated

West Ham and Callum Wilson have agreed to terminate his contract early, sources have told Football Insider.

It emerged on Monday that the striker, 33, could quit the London club this month.

Now, sources say that a full agreement is in place between Wilson and the hierarchy for him to leave the club by mutual consent.

Wilson was signed on a cheap, incentivised one-year deal after leaving Newcastle United in the summer.
He will now be available as a free agent in what is expected to herald a stampede of interest from clubs in the UK and overseas.

West Ham have confirmed the signings of two forwards picked by Nuno Espirito Santo, Pablo Felipe from Gil Vicente and Taty Castellanos from Lazio for a combined package of up to £47million.

Both could be involved on Tuesday against Nuno’s former club Nottingham Forest, who are four points above West Ham.

In true WHU style it wouldn't suprise me if he scored the winner in the FA Cup final.
After cunting him off for a decade

You really don't do much reading or have much thought to your answers.
So it was negative line up 5 at the back so Wilson was shit cause he didn't finish the chances that weren't created for him because of the negative line up... OK Einstein

you really are a proper knob
you are correct on Nuno being nagative in both games but in playing Burton it should have been a lot easier than Arsenal as a loan striker. What don't you get ?
The players who played against Burton should have been able to at least produce a few chances.

You really are a thick cսnt, yes maybe they should but Wilson isn't the one creating the chances he's the one who finishes them so if as you say we didn't create any...

Besides if it was Ajala playing you would have 100% said that Nuno hung him out to dry by playing him in a defensive team tgst didn't create any chances.. You're just a hypocritical prick who uses Nuno as an excuse when sticking up for players you like and when you dislike the player the same reasons don't apply to them.

Surprised by the extension unless it means he can leave now so they had to.

Good to see Callum Marshall scored at the weekend after coming on for Bochum.  He's getting game time which he needs, I'm still hopefull he can make it with us especially if we do end up in the second division next season.

That's exactly what i was on about.
I see him now as the player we didn't want in the summer. Due to not playing regularly he's lost his moja.
He was awful against Burton and if he can't play well against them then the Championship is beyond him too.
Just because he scored a few last autumn doesn't mean he will be any good now,he needs to show a hell of lot more in these last 10 games or so not stroll around with that stupid grin every time he misses a good chance.
So when Marshall was awful it was because Nuno set up negatively.
Yet you moaned how negative he was for the Burton game yet you've mentioned how bad at least 3 players were in that game.. Only counts when it suits you then.

He had a grand total of six touches in that first half against Fulham. Not entirely his fault, but not exactly looking for the ball either.

Honestly can't see how much use he's going to be going forward other than 15 mins at the end of matches. Worth mentioning the geezer has only scored once since mid/late November and if he's not bringing goals he's bringing little else. However this is on the proviso that of course the rest of the squad is fit for purpose, which sadly it probably won't be. This is really bare minimum stuff but I guess if we are going to be financially fucked at least it's a body. Assume if we go down the deal still stands. He should be more handy in the Championship and bag 10-15 with any luck, but absolutely don;t want him leading the line or being first choice like at times this season. That just signals (more) massive failures on the part of the club in providing a fit for purpose squad for whatever division we end up in.

Sullivan has probably decided that his pay to play contract will cost him dearly if Wilson starts/is involved in 48 games when we're in the Fizzy Pop.

Joint 2nd highest Premier League scorer relying on no penalties to score them out of all the Squad on very limited playing time by comparison to others. Can't be that dogshit.

Massive,granted he's helped as out.
But he's looked dog shit and tbh the least interested of the squad of late.
We do have our saviour in Pablo coming back soon but I'll be more than happy for Wilson to grab a few goals just can't see it.

We should be looking to get in a player who is physically capable of doing all the things th manager needs over the course of a game or at least 70 mins. He’s a very clever player but th body just isn’t willing.

This is a move right out of the Sullivan playbook, and there will be no ambition or desire from him to go after better and younger targets.
Don't see a huge problem here. He's on about 6k basic so if he ended up not playing at all, then we're hardly notably out of pocket.

If he's making his appearance bonus, it means we're playing him which likely means we need him.

So it's kind of a no brainer with hardly any downside.

Plus rightly or wrongly we just dropped 50m on strikers, and still have the waster Fullkrug on the books...so it's hardly likely given we are out of magic beans we'll be in the market for new marksmen.
The problem will be Sullivan going ‘well Wilson is here so the manager doesn’t need another striker’ when we blatantly still do.

People can cսnt him off all they like however he has contributed to our cause.

Premier League top scorers:

Bowen - 8 goals (5 assists)

Summverville - 5 goals (3 assists)

Wilson - 5 goals (2 assists*)

*Effectively won us the penalty against Brighton at Home with his goal bound shot having to be hand-balled by Dunk

And he's done it with 850 minutes less on the pitch than Summverville who's been playing well. Without Wilson's contribution we would have been relegated and has played his part in helping us to get to this point and he could yet come up with more vital goals like he did at Spurs not so long ago as he still has that knack to sniff out a goal from nothing.
