I thought the Jets played especially in the 2nd half and were a bit unlucky to lose. They put the Broncos QB under a lot of pressure throughout the game.

Barely have the words to explain what I’ve just seen from the Jets.

Did it yet again today.

We’ve invested in Aaron Glenn for multiple seasons. And we do have to stick with him and show some patience. Jimmy Johnson went 1-15 in his first season in Dallas (although, it was before the salary cap and when the Cowboys bombed on purpose). So patience is key.

But we are getting worse, not better, right now.

At least we didn’t give up many points this week.
 

I was in Dublin for Minnesota Vikings v Pittsburgh Steelers 2 Sundays ago.
Never had any interest in NFL but went as I’d never been to Croke Park. (And it was corporate)
Fantastic 4 hours of entertainment, great atmosphere with 40,000 yanks there. Actually enjoyed the game and may even go again

This season is unreal open, literally not a single team who looks a cut above the rest.

I mean fuck me the niners are 4-1 whilst having they're entire pro bowl set of players out for the season.

Totally agree, TM. The best young QB I've seen for a few years. Said it before, but he just never seems to be fazed by anything. As you know, once the snap goes in the NFL, everything happens at 100 miles an hour. That kid just seems to suspend time so that he can make good decisions.

I hope he stays relatively injury free for a good while, because it will be great for Washington and it'll piss off the Cowgirls in that division!

Tanner Engstrand, the OC, will probably be backed to stay for a couple of years at least. You can see that his offensive schemes are promising. But the RBs keep fumbling the ball at key times, and Fields is a very limited passer once his primary receiver (almost always Wilson) is double-teamed. And the offensive penalties have to stop. That's on Glenn, on both sides of the ball, because he made it his priority.

Btw, Wilks might become the first casualty of the Jets' latest clusterfuck.

They will stick with Glenn, of course. But Wilks really only has the rest of this season to make significant improvements to the defense in New York. We're spending a lot of money on that side of the ball, and they look utterly toothless. Not a single takeaway through the first five games. Even shit sides of the past had a few accidental fumble recoveries etc by now. Us - zilch!

The general roster is poor, and we knew that. But that defense contains Sauce, the Williams brothers (Quinnen is a top quality player in the right system) and Will McDonald. Yet they're leaking an average of 31.5 points per game so far. You can't win matches that way. There's just no aggression, or co-ordination and the players look confused by the "system". They're weak in all defensive departments (offense at least has Garrett Wilson, who is a top-five receiver playing in a #32 team!).

Wilks was an underwhelming choice for a new dawn in New York. And his defense is very, very flat at this early stage. He seems like a decent fella. But 100% it'll be his head on the chopping block if they don't improve at some point in this shitshow season. The players are not reacting to him, or Glenn, at all at this point.

Trevor Lawrence scrambling a lot is a new thing and the 99 yard intereption return was fun.
Harrison Butker stuffing up the final kick off made me smile.

Jags look like fun last night. Gone are the days when KC come into town and the home team rolls over for them.

Don’t even know what to say about the New York Jets anymore. They are a car accident I can’t look away from.

If we, as West Ham fans, hate our incompetent owners, just think how Jets fans feel. Woody Johnson has owned the Jets for ten years longer.

Aaron Glenn now has the worst start of any Jets coach ever (0-5). And we’ve had Rich Kotite and Adam Gase!

(I like Glenn, but these owners are not helping him)
