Apparently we'll be signing some random Venezuelan left winger this week.
Kieber Lamadrid.

Just a hunch, but I wonder if they will wait and see how results go next weekend before deciding to go all in with any transfers or not. Will still be a week or so left of the window at that point.

At least it's a nice place to live and memories of our win there.

Good luck to him, he was dealt a bad hand by us.
He needs game time to keep his place in the Scottish squad.

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
Earthy loan indeed seems to nake no sense. Despite bad injuries this and last season he came back into the U21s and within 2 or 3 games was the best player on the park. Better than Kante.
Im a tad worried about Potts and Magassa. They are young and dips in form are typical for younger players after making good initial impacts. Magassa was bombed out the squad completely and Potts now behind Guido and Soucek too? Some games we will need them. Guido and Soucek look like they are wearing deep sea divers boots against some teams. Potts and Magassa aint super quick but can move a lot faster. Then again some of us okd gits could outpace Guido and Soucek . Soucek against some opposition like yesterday can be effective but he will be invisible again in some games. As some other poster says, good managers do their homework on the opposition, their players, strengths/weaknesses and tactics and play “horses for courses”. I suspect Nuno will just start the same team until it loses again which could be next game

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
I still can't believe we loaned out Earthy as a viable option off the bench for us. Can play him anywhere along the forward line behind a Striker whilst we also look around for another. I get that he's young etc, it's more the logic of limiting your options when there is no other alternative when Paqueta's been angling for a move all window. Seems to be a running theme with Nuno to cut off his nose to spite his face when it comes to offloading/disregarding players available to him when needs must and can't be so choosey.

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
It's more the impact we would suffer, John. Without a creative ball carrier, as you put it, we can still compete, but without competent wingers, we are completely fucked, as our game is based around our wide men. Summerville is injury prone in general, so a bad injury to Bowen, with no back up signed, what would we do?
It would also give us options from the bench, as Wilson aside, that is another very weak point. Most of our games are tight, and bringing on one of 2 fast wingers would be game changing.

Given we are in a massive hole and can’t solve all the problems in one go, I would rather prioritise what we don’t have rather than worrying about additional backup. With that in mind, my preference would for ball carrying creativity. Someone to deliver what Paqueta is meant to do but doesn’t.

We need back up wingers more than anything else imo, because as much as we need a CB, without Bowen & Jimmy, we have absolutely nothing backing them up. We at least have CB options, regardless of how shit, but we're an injury away from KWP playing on the wing. We don't even have a youth player to come in.
Agree ED. We might hear more on Traore this week now Fulham have players back from AFCON, although there was talk that his high wages could well be an issue.

Yep goal in the cup definitely has put a spring in his step, he was superb yesterday, worked hard getting back too.

Re: Winter '25/26 Transfer Rumours Thread
Watching Summerville destroy them yesterday in the first half, it's just baffling why we aren't trying to add more pace to the team.
Pablo is proper oil tanker slow, and Taty is not quick by any means, imagine if we had another player with raw pace in attack, with the way we are set up to play?
Should be our number 1 priority with anyone else coming in. If Summerville gets injured, we will be absolutely fucked.

There are no big jobs in Germany, aside from Bayern. And Kompany isn’t going anywhere.
There’s a reason that he rocked up at Palace, and it was to get a foot in the PL door.
