Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
What’s odd about it? I imagine my age is above the average on this forum I doubt it... My first relegation season was '78 as was probably a lot on here Same here. I remember my Dad was driving me somewhere and had sports report on the car radio. Jimmy Armfield piped up with "West Ham are a...

Re: US Politics Thread
OK, a relatively simple question, I think, is that now looking like a gigantic fuck up from the orange bloke? The great US cap in hand asking for help. FMOB. Which we should not give. This is Trump's fuck up and he should own it without endangering any other nation's armed forces. It is within his ...

Re: US Politics Thread
It's ALL EU red tape. The UK cannot remove it, only the EU can do that. They chose not to. That option was on the table as we could have kept standards aligned with the EU but the Tories decided not to. The issues of the extra burocracy and trade friction were pointed out repeatedly at the time but...

Re: US Politics Thread
The main thing stalling UK exports to the EU is EU red tape. The stuff we're exporting is exactly the same stuff that was accepted without question while we were in the EU, so it's fuck all to do with the quality of the exports. They drop the protectionist shit and UK exports to the EU will rise. O...

Re: The Clyde Best Story
Clyde was one of the core players who entertained us in the early 70's. I always seem to remember him playing in the iconic away kit of that era,the two claret hoops on the blue background. Great shirt, kept mine for years. Ferret will be wondering who the f*** Clyde is. I loved that shirt. Still ha...

Read this yesterday and it is a great article.
The shit he had to go through just to play is, thankfully, a thing of the past.
Bobby Moore, Clyde, Trev and Pop Robson are a big part of my early memories of West Ham as a little kid.

This is my favourite recent Trump quote from his speech at Doral.

Blofeld was named after Henry "Blowers" Blofeld's Dad who was a classmate of Ian Fleming's at Eton.
There was also a Scaramanga at Eton at the time.

Re: Amelia Aplin RIP
This hits home so much as my then partner's daughter dies aged just 14.
It will be 10 years ago next August and it still hurts as she was a lovely human being.
I have had many friends and relatives die but this one hurts the most by a way.
She was Amelia as well.

Re: US Politics Thread
Couple it all with the nuclear weapons programme and production issue this past 6 months, as well as the attacks on Israel/US base, then yeah it's a major issue that needed addressing. There isn't one reliable bit of evidence which shows they have the capability of building a nuclear weapon. They c...

Re: NFL (since 2016)
As for the Dolphins. Tua is going to get released for a $99m cap hit.
Ouch.
We're also trading Minkah Fitzpatrick to the Jets for a seventh round draft pick.
Hopefully there will still be a half decent OL or CB on the board.
I very much doubt it though.
