Another thing regarding injuries this season for us is we have had the least amount of time out injured than all the Clubs. Long may that good run of luck and decent medical attention continue with only around 2 months of Football left to play. By the time we play Man City next in the League we should have everyone back available.

Seriously you want to throw a cup.. What about if we throw it and they get injured in training... In fact may as well rest them all against City too as chance of getting anything is minimal

If you go with that mentality then you might as well only play the U18s and still risk said players getting injured in training or by wrapping their motor in to the nearest residential home/Epping Forest Tree.

Yep, go with a strong Line-up tonight and give it a good go to get through. The pampered darlings could get just as easily cleaned out by an ankle snap challenge in training (see Asthon) or by crashing their Lambo in to some old dears front garden (see Antonio), so they might as well risk injury in a meaningful game to get to the Quarter Finals.

Not as trepidatious starting the starters here as against burton. You can trust the Brentford players not to be silly and the pitch is a known quantity. We aren’t dealing with 2 games a week so fatigue shouldn’t be a terrible problem. Give a few a rest maybe but on the bench and go for this.

Cant say I am confident as they have become a real bogey team for us, and it is a bit wrong the draw happens before the game for various reasons- especially as it’s not on the BBC, but let’s give it our best and find a way to win.

The only thing that will knock our momentum is if Summerville, Taty or Fernandes get injured tongiht.  Can't afford to start them in my opinion, unless you value a Wembley trip over the relegation run in.

A cup final possibility I'll value that thanks, we're talking 3 games in 11 days and if they're fit and not fatigued they should play. Yeah all the big teams are still in but I bet Palace are glad they didn't have that attitude. Really looking forward to going over there as just got home after 6 weeks away and a cup game under the lights with a chance to be a game away from Wembley.. Just want to win tonight and fuck worrying about the league can go back to that at the weekend.

We won't lose momentum if we go out tonight, that's just a nonsense, as we saw after the Liverpool game. Bizarrely, there were mid-table sides resting players last night, so I'm pretty much OK as long as he doesn't go all change, which he won't as he's already pretty much said as much and values the competition. As I said before, suspect we'll see the likes of Scarles, Potts, Traore, KWP come in and surely that is OK. Would love a QF to look forward to.

Agree with Takashi, we’ve not that often been in this position so go pretty strong and keep up momentum, a little bit of sunlight through the gloom. Can see the argument of keeping our best for the league battle but the FA cup still means a lot to the fans and must still have that aura for the players, why hold back? The truth is, thanks to the owners we’re fucked if we go for it and we’re fucked if we don’t, so we may as well go for it.

it's scheduled for 19.05.
The team will be known by lunch time.
you would have thought that Nuno and his coaches block out the draw to his players. they should just be focused on the game in hand.

I think having the next round draw before all previous round games have been played is a
fucking liberty...

Agree on that, not like this tie has been postponed for some reason! Draw should have been at the conclusion of this game.

Will also be interesting to see how we approach the Brentford game knowing who we would have in the QF.

If we have drawn one of those "big" clubs away? Will it be a token effort with some players rested (claims they have a niggle etc) verses going full bore if we knew it was against Southampton or Port Vale at home?

There is no way Bowen, Summerville and Fernandes will start this game.

Fwiw, and I'm guessing like we all are, but I suspect Nuno will hedge his bets. I think he values the cups and will want to progress and also understands the fans will do too, plus he will want to keep them some momentum and not just chuck this in the bin, so suspect we will see something like 7 regulars starting. That said, a few of our squad players left in Jan, so not too many options anyway. Expect to see Potts, KWP, Traore, and maybe Scarles getting a start. Hopefully not Kilman.
