Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
All the starts are aligning for us to complete the great escape.
Leeds tonight; Brentford win and they are amongst CL places….
then, I suppose Villa tomorrow have a BIG incentive.

Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
Yup I can't see why Forest having more European games isn't a good thing for everyone around them. More fixture congestion and more pressure on their squad, even if it's just two more matches. Sun Thur Sun Thur takes it's toll particularly when everyone else around you is just playing once a week.
I think Porto will beat them anyway but they will at least have to take the first leg seriously.
Palace also being still in Europe is handy for us, seen as going by the dates we likely play them in the middle of quite a congested time fixture wise for them as well when we will not be their priority.

If they had gone out they would be maybe a bit disheartened, won with a shootout and let’s be honest that’s a good feeling isn’t it?
FFS Syders can you really not see the difference between galavanting around Europe midweek against playing an FA Cup home fixture at the weekend?? And they wouldn't have been disheartened had they lost on pens, they are not schoolboys.

Liverpool already behind at Brighton. That result against us really was a freak one wasn’t it. Incredible how they somehow always beat us no matter what.
Also shows that spurs haven’t proven they’ve turned a corner yet after that draw and then winning a complete dead rubber against athletico. Maybe they will have if they win tomorrow but that’s far more of an acid test.

Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
The FA Cup is a stand alone weekend game while Europe is two more midweek games with travel for one
I think winning breeds winning so unless you have injuries getting through to the next round is a good thing
The expectation is on Tottenham at home after the ‘triumph’ of only conceding 7 to A Madrid
If they don’t win all the Igor Out and panic will kick off again

Would imagine they would be happy with a draw away to Spurs, and it will heap more pressure on those north Londoners rather than them, not sure we will see it, think Spurs win this one

I see Vicario is due to have hernia surgery after the Forest game to coincide with the international break and may be back in a month
Means Kinsky will play a few games. 90mins not 17

And the further they get in Europe, the more pressure there’ll be on the manager to pick stronger sides. Surely Forest fans won’t accept getting to the quarters/semis and playing the reserves?
Agree, you can't chuck a European QF.

Yep, totally agree. It's great news that they're through. At this stage of the season, it's at least two more games they have to squeeze in on a Thursday. Their better players won't get much rest.

Form is temporary
Villa's form was poor but they beat Lille comfortably last night. Same with Forest.

As was suggested a few days ago Forest weren't focusing on Europe but they are through anyway which is mildly amusing, and they had extra time. I don't think you can underestimate it, it's definitely a big distraction for them that can only help.

Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
Last 10 games we are 7th in the form table, what's difficult to understand about that?

now that is dumb.
Not including the Liverpool result ah, dismissing a game to fit your agenda.
Again, we ddin't bat Brentford.the bookies agree with this as they would have paid for a draw.
if you want to fit an agenda, QPR was a draw too at full time.
Oh dear. It does include the Liverpool game as stated. Brentford was a cup game and therefore not relevant to league form. Not sure why you keep mentioning it. If it helps you to understand, the league is the only thing we can get relegated from and is the main thing being discussed on a relegation thread. But well done for spelling agenda correctly, good work.

Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
Be ideal if both Palace and Forest wend through actually. Palace have got us immediately after a prospective second leg QF, and any distraction for Forest is a welcome one.

BoleynGone wrote: ↑19 Mar 2026, 12:06 Typical of you to have a go at the kids.
The game was a draw 2-2.
We didn't lose the game but if you want that to fit your pathectic agenda go ahead.
The kids put in a performance against a good National League team. As good as the first team against City. They had 2 players go off injured at crucial times and had to bring on 2 even younger players.
What a cսnt you are.
Some have barely played for the U21's this season and you choose to have a go at them.
What a complete and utter wanker you are.
I'll spell this out for once again.
WE SCORE AT AN AVERAGE OF 1 GOAL A GAME AND CONCEDE 1 GOAL A GAME THAT IS 1-1
For you to understnad this it's quite simple.
Villa are 4th because over the course of the season the have acheived the 4th best amount of points on the league.
West Ham are 18th because over the course of the season we have achieved the 18th most points.
By your logic the season should end now and we finish 9th.
What an idiot.
Well for all your spelling out stupidity: Over the last ten games (which is the only relevant time period) we average 1.5 goals a game and concede 1.4 goals a game - but this includes the Liverpool result that is rather an outlier. So shut your fuckin maaaaafff

Seems the case. Mental considering it’s there first time in Europe in decades. I’m not sure it gives off the right message to the players. Gives off a lot of fear.
even spurs went full strength last night.

Re: West Ham United 25/26 relegation thread
Sad to say this but Spurs will take a boost from last night.... They got tonked overall but they played really well and even at one point, if they had got a third, they could've turned it around. I am praying that they played that well as they weren't under pressure....And hoping that when they play Forest their arses go.
Tudor's message will clearly be reminding them that they can play that well.... Just hope it falls on deaf ears.
Either way, we need to beat Villa which is a huge task.

Wolves have got the bit between their teeth and won't be an easy game for anyone.
